Mic check, is this thing on?
First off, thank you for being here and making it this far.
You've already indulged me, even if you found yourself here by accident.
I have wanted to start a blog for some time now, and my health journey has inspired me to start. I have struggled with chronic illness for the past ten+ years, and these past two been especially tough. I have found there are very limited resources out there for those who struggle navigating gynaecological and infertility challenges and figure if sharing information through my experiences can help at least one person feel validated or be a source of comfort, well I have achieved something.
By day I work in real estate and I am based in Toronto (it goes without saying that this blog is not the view of my employer). I grew up in the west end of Toronto, while my husband Nick grew up in Tillsonburg and moved to the "Big Smoke" after college to pursue his career. We have been together for twelve years now and we met in the real estate industry - really, it's a tale as old as time. We now live in Little Portugal and we love our Ossington and West Queen West community. I love Prosecco, Schitts Creek, and our fur children.
Lastly, the meaning behind my branding "Sarah Clare Speaking" is that is how I have always answered the phone as long as I can remember, since my first office job when I was 17. When I worked in what used to be very male-dominated commercial real estate brokerage years ago, some of the fellas I used to work with made fun of this habit of mine, repeating it back at me in mocking my voice.
Thank you gentlemen, for helping me find my brand and for inspiring my female empowerment journey more than you know.
If you made it this far, I really hope you can feel my virtual hug.
Welcome to the trust tree.
Love, Sarah xoxo
